"Suhmata" Play bu al-Midan Theatre, 1998
This video shows a performance by al-Midan Theatre bearing the name of the depopulated village "Suhmata", carried out on its lands in the presence of the villagers and represented by the Sons of Suhmata Association in 1998. It was directed by Hanna Eida with the assistance of Akram Khoury and written in partnership with the author Edward Masad, through the stories of the people and their memories of the village, during which the lawyer Wakim Wakim delivered the speech of the National Committee for Defending the Rights of Displaced Persons, while Fouad Awad from al-Midan Theatre also gave a speech. The play was performed by Abu Lutf and Maisara al-Masri.
