Taken in 1981, this photograph shows a welcoming ceremony held by Nablus Municipality for Bassam Shakaa following his return from his trip for treatment in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980.
