Taken in 1981, this photograph shows Bassam Shakaa and members of the Nablus Municipal City Council with a police delegation and the people of Nablus on the occasion of Shakaa's return from his trip to London for treatment, in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980.
