Taken in June 1980, this photograph shows a group of leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), led by Khalil al-Wazir (Abu Jihad) of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement- Fateh, visiting Bassam Shakaa at King Hussein Medical Center in Amman, in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate Shakaa, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June.
