''No", ِA Painting by Issam Badr, 1980
Created by the plastic artist Issam Badr on 5 June 1980, this painting depicts Bassam Shakaa's amputated legs in the form of "La (no)" in the Palestine flag colours, and features a phrase that reads "Even if they caused the amputation of my legs, they will not be able to suppress my struggle", the same phrase that Shakaa uttered after he awoke from his coma, in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him on 2 June of the same year.
