Bassam Shakaa and His Wife's Relatives Visiting Them in Syria, 1961
Taken in 1961, this photograph shows the relatives of Bassam Shakaa and his wife, Enaya al-Fassed, with the couple at a cafe in Damascus to congratulate them on their marriage during the latter's stay in Syria as political refugees. Among the people appearing in the photograph are Rima, Bassam's niece, first from the right; and next to her are Enaya and Bassam; then Um Samir, Hikmat al-Masri's wife and Bassam's sister, fourth from the left; in addition to Ghassan Walid Shakaa, Bassam's nephew, who is seen standing.
