El-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe at the Heritage Festival at Birzeit University presents "Palestinian Joys"
Taken during the Heritage Festival at Birzeit University in 1987, this photograph captures a glimpse of el-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe's "Palestinian Joys" show. The performance featured an audience of 7,000 people. Against the narrow space, some audience jumped on the stage, and 12 blackouts, at least, were reported. The crammed crowd made a 200-meter way from the theatre to the dressing room take more than half an hour.
