Ismat al-Dajani was born and lived in Jerusalem in 1928 before moving to Beirut. He studied at the American University there, and married Ayda Nashashibi. He worked in the aviation sector with several companies, including Indian, Kuwaiti and Saudi Airlines, and later with Middle East Airlines and at Queen Alia Airport.

This collection documents moments from Ismat al-Dajani's professional and personal life, including photographs of him attending official celebrations at embassies and consulates, and photographs of him at his work sites inside airports. It also includes family photographs of him with his wife and children in Karachi, Beirut, Amman, and Jerusalem, in addition to photographs from his studies at the American University of Beirut.
