Born in Jerusalem, Mahira al-Dijani is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hasan Mustafa Cultural Center. She led the establishment of scouts and girl guides troupes in the Arab world and was elected as the first president of the Jordanian Girl Guides Association. She participated in girl guides' workshops and camps in different countries and supervised training and camps for girl scouts and guide leaders in Jordan. She has also been a member of the Inash Al Usra Association since its founding in 1967, where she has supervised the establishment of the Association's vocational training centres in twenty villages in Ramallah and al-Bireh district and trained its women's leaders. She co-founded three women's associations.

Al-Dijani's archive represents a bright picture of successful and influential Palestinian women, who were able to leave a living imprint on Palestinian society, despite the many challenges and struggles they have faced.
