Printed in English, this document shows a letter from Elyas Kusa to the Jerusalem Post Editor about a piece published in the Newspaper on 6 August 1950 that includes an appeal to foreign animal welfare associations to pressure the Jordanian government to allow food to the zoo in the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Simultaneously in al-Ittihad Newspaper, a piece was published on the death of a child from Tamra because the Military Governor denied her father a travel permit.
