"A Petition Letter for the Appointment of Arab Judges and Magistrates in Israeli Courts", from Arab Advocates to Israeli Official Authorities, October 1965
Dated October 12, 1965, this printed petition letter in Arabic was signed by several Arab advocates, including Ilyas Kusa, and sent to the Israeli President, Prime Minister, Knesset speaker, Minister of Justice, State Comptroller, and the Chamber of Advocates in Haifa for the appointment of Arab judges and magistrates in Israeli courts. The letter mentions that among the 146 judges and magistrates in Israeli courts, there is only one Arab Christian magistrate. The signatories also demand the appointment of Arab representatives in the Supreme Court in al-Quds, Arab advocates in the State Attorney Office, and Arab magistrates in the Magistrates' Courts in Tel Aviv Colony, the Triangle, and Acre.
