A Video of ASHTAR Theatre's "Malaf 'Ala ar-Raff", In Cooperation with Special Needs Students, 2014

A video clip documenting the presentation of "Malaf 'Ala ar-Raff" [A File on the Shelf], a play produced by ASHTAR Theatre in cooperation with special needs students, followed by a discussion and reflections of the work. The play sheds light on the reality of the struggle of special needs people in the streets, in schools and at home, with the performance of students with mental disabilities and special needs. The producers of the play explained that the goal from the theatrical performance is to bring light into the lives of people with special needs and included in the play's brochure that "special needs people -particularly people with mental disabilities- are the mirrors of a civilized society by showcasing the extent to which the society recognises them, makes sure to preserve their dignities and meets their needs in all aspects of life.  Directed by Edward Muallem.
