ASHTAR Theatre's Performance of "Richard II" at the World for the World Festival, World Shakespeare Festival, 2012

A video documenting ASHTAR Theatre's performance of William Shakespeare's play titled, "Richard II", at the World for the World Festival as part of the World Shakespeare Festival. The festival lasted between 23 April - 9 June 2012 as part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad which accompanied the Summer Olympics Games held in London with the theme of "Isles of Wonder." On the course of 6 weeks, the festival hosted 37 Shakespearean plays performed in 37 languages. The festival firstly aimed to offer an experience with the Shakespearean language and the London languages, as well as to explore the importance of Shakespeare to the world.
