A Report on the 'Abbassan Biscuit Project
Found in the Siham al-Barghuthy Collection and written in English, this ten-page document shows a report on the 'Abbassan Biscuit Project; which started as an initiative to provide rich meals for children at Amal ʾAbu Fakkeh's kitchen on 1 January 1985 and was then expanded on 9 April 1987, detailing the staff (11 workers, 8 of which work full time), working hours (8-9 hours for full-timers and 5 hours for the rest). This project is said to have been the most pioneering project of the Palestinian Federation of Women's Action Committees, and it produces two main products; round hard biscuit with anis and round date-filled biscuit.
