Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 21 and 22 March 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday 21 March 1940, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia to the cemetery and spreading flowers, and going with Ahmad Khalifeh to the Bayt al-Maqdes Press to review his book drafts. In the middle of the page, Sakakini wrote his diaries dated Friday, 22 March 1940, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia to the cemetery and spreading flowers, spending his day at the press with Anton Lorrence reviewing his book drafts, and Shukri Deeb and his wife visiting him in the evening. At the bottom of the page, Sakakini wrote his diaries dated Saturday, 23 March 1940, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia to the cemetery and spreading flowers, going to their cousin Farida's home because it was the 40th day after the death of his aunt Labiba, paying 1 pound to Khalil Raad for copying the photographs of his wife Umm Sari and meeting with Shukri Deeb.
