Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 19-20 January 1942
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diary of Khalil Sakakini on Monday, 19 January 1942, pointing out the cancellation of the school day due to the absence of three teachers, the Greek Orthodox Epiphany, and the Islamic Hijri Year. He also mentions his daily visit to the cemetery with his sister Milia and their visit to the Young Men's Christian Association where teacher Anis Khoury gave a lecture on the characteristics of literature. At the bottom of the page, Sakakini started his diary for Tuesday 20 January 1942, in which he states that he stayed home to write his dairies.
