Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 27-30 January 1942

Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 27-30 January 1942. On Tuesday, he introduced Dr Tutah to give a lecture titled "Issues of Education" at the Young Men's Christian Association. As for Wednesday, he went with Adel Jaber to visit Kamal Ismail then Ahmad Afandy Joined them. While he received a permit from the government on Thursday to purchase a ton of paper to print his books for the amount of 86 pounds; to which he asks "Here's the permit, where's the money?". As for Friday, he writes of his attempt to pone Shukri Deeb to conclude a contract for a loan of 250 pounds, in addition to his meeting in the afternoon with teacher Adel, Sheikh Tawfiq at-Tibi, Sheikh Kamal Ismail and teacher Yahya ash-Shuhaby.
