The Continuation of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 5 June 1950
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday 1 June 1950, where he mentioned Yousif Abdo visiting them while they were having lunch flying from Beirut. On the same page, he wrote his diary dated Friday 2 June 1950, where he mentioned that ever since he arrived in Egypt he became used to attending the weekly meeting held at al-Aqqad's house each Friday, and Assakakini revealed what he saw: 1- Al-Aqqad welcomes his guests dressed in his bedclothes. 2- They never hesitate to curse while discussing some topics. 3- They tend to criticize both freely and honestly despite that criticized are their good friends. 4- They don't believe in God nor his massengers.
