Handwritten, this archival item documents the completion of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Friday, 4 October 1940, mentioning that he realised that life is absurd, but rather a great evil, wondering what is a greater evil act more than to be buried and handed over to the worms the by the hands of your dear ones, then he mentioned the visit of Anthony Atallah and his wife, and blamed Emily (Umm Fouad) the sister of Sultana for not remembering this day and not offering condolences. On the same page, Sakakini wrote the beginning of his diary on Saturday, 5 October 1940, mentioning visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia and his daughters Dumia and Hala.
