Completion of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 10 October 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the completion of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday 10 October 1940, where he pointed out that Mitri al-Oudat, a boy from the east of the Jordan river, visited him after Isha carrying a letter from Ya'qoub al-Oudat (Al-Badawi al-Mulaththam), and a copy of the book "Faje'ati al-Kubra (My Greatest Sorrow)" written by Hanna Beyk al-Qusous about his wife in 1937, where he published photographs of her, some of her life stories, and some of her letters. On the same page, Sakakini wrote the beginning of his diary on Friday 11 October 1940, which he began by pointing out visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia, Adel Jaber visiting him in the afternoon and Issa al-Tabba visiting him in the evening.
