Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 16- 17 June 1941
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Monday, 16 June 1941, which he began by mentioning visiting the cemetery and scattering flowers with his sister Milia, mentioning seeing Sultana in his dreams, and the school organizing a reciting contest for students, and choosing the teachers Adel Jaber, Habib Khoury, Anton Laurance and Hassan al-Karmi. On the same page, Sakakini wrote his diary on Tuesday, 17 June 1941, which he began by mentioning visiting the cemetery and scattering flowers with his sister Milia and his cousin Hanneh, and naming his visitors on that day including Ahmad Khalifa and Fakhry al-Jawhariyya where they discussed about Ibrahim Tuqan and all agreed that he is a big poet, then mentioning the visit of his cousin Mitri with his wife.
