The Continuation of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 7 October 1947
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Tuesday, 7 October 1947, where he mentioned the names of those he invited to attend the tea party he held to meet the American delegation headed by US Representative Francis Bolton. Among the invitees were Andoni Atallah, Mitri Farraj, Raja’i al-Husseini, Hussein al-Khalidi, Darwish al-Miqdadi and Adel Jaber, where the tea-table was luxurious. At the end of the page, he mentioned that this day coincided with the opening date of Nahda College after the end of the summer vacation.
