A Handwritten Document Entitled the Factions Dialogue Session 15-4-1987_x000D_ _x000D_
A handwritten document by Dr Samir Ghaushe entitled The Factions' Dialogue Session 15-4-1987. The dialogue sessions were held to heal the rift between the factions of the PLO in light of the news about holding an international conference following the Camp David Accords. Held in 1991, the conference was called the Madrid Peace Conference and was proposed to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. There were multiple dialogue sessions prior to the convening of the Palestinian National Council, and some factions remained opposed to opening the dialogue. Later, these factions were called the factions of Damascus, namely, Fatah al-Intifada, the General Command of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and some factions that split from The Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (Khalid ʿabdel-Majid Faction), The Palestinian Liberation Front (Abu Nidal al-Ashqar Wing), and a dissident faction of the Palestinian People's Party (ʿaraby ʿawwad).
