A Letter from Maryam to Hussein Mhanna, 1978
This document shows a letter from Marymam to Hussein Mhanna, during his arrest in Israeli prisons from April 1978 till July 1978, after refusing to be a member of the Israeli Reserve Army in the October War in 1973, following the Israeli Occupational Forces (IOF) sending his threats of imprisonment since 1973, till they arrested him in April 1978. Sent on 1 June 1978, she first sends her greetings, tells him that she does not blame him for not writing her letters and apologizes that she hadn't sent any either. Then, she reassures him of the condition of the village and friends, tells him that she still teaches self-defence every Tuesday and wishes him patience, strength and bravery.
