Issue 12 of al-Jadeed Magazine, December 1981
The twelfth issue, which is a special issue in the Jubran international year, of the al-Jadid magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture founded in 1951, issued in December 1981 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara, and from the printing of Abu Rahmon Library and Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion is titled "The Myth of Zionist Expansion". 2. An article titled "Mahmoud Amin al-Alem Reads" by Emile Touma. 3. An article titled “Samih al-Qasim, the Poet and Missionary,” by Salman Rida ad-Din. 4. An article titled "This Kind of Political Writing, This Smiling Bullet" by Ezz ed-Din Manasra. 5. An article titled “Jubran the Father of Man” by Nazih Khair. 6. "Jubran between the Punch and the Painting", an article by Abed Abdi. 7. News published about an exhibition of Palestinian artists in Norway. 8. An interview with the Syrian poet Ayman Abu ash-Shaar, by Hussein Sweiti in Moscow. 9. A chapter from the novel "Three Faces of a City Called Jaffa (and We Did Not Forget)" by Salman Natour. 10. The story "Translation of the Unseen" by Hanna Ibrahim. 11. The story "Promise" by Ahmed Qasem. 12. An Iranian story titled "The Bloody Wound" by Nader Ebrahimi. 13. An essay titled "Hebrew Theatre" by Yaron Becker. 14. An article about the play "Team 3 Battalion No. 1" by Antoine Shalhat. 15. Essay titled "The Issue of Women's Liberation, Not the Crisis of Sex" by Emile Touma. 16. An article titled "A Crisis We Created" by Nabih al-Qasim. 17. An article titled "Our Cultural Movement is Well" by Moufid Sidawi. 18. An article titled "Al-Jadeed Magazine, Ambition and Joy" by Shaker Farid Hasan. 19. A poem titled "Lel-Qodsi Thakeraton Qaweyyah” (Jerusalem has a Strong Memory) by Salman Masalha. 20. A poem titled "Demashq Ash-Sham” (Damascus of al-Sham) by Hayel Asqaleh. 21. News about the latest books. 22. A summary containing an index of the most important issues published in the al-Jadeed magazine for the year 1981.
