The Resolutions of the Sessions of Municipal Council, Ramallah, 1947-1948

Handwritten in Arabic, this document shows a copy of the sessions of the Municipal Council for Ramallah city in 1947 as follows:  - Session No. 36 held on 13 November 1947, headed by Khalil Salah and in the presence of Yousef Qaddura, the vice president, Jamil Totah, Khalil and Yousef Saba. In this session, the council set appointment decisions, as well as for deciding to build two rooms for poultry farming in Ramallah Boys' School and transfer funds between sections from the 1947-48-year budget.  - Session No. 37 held on 20 November 1947, in which the council decided to stop the shipment of water from Ein Farah to the Ramallah water tank and assent on imposing the five mils tax on the flour sent to schools.  - Session No. 38 held on 4 December 1947, in which the council decided to appoint a local guard for the city of Ramallah.  - Session No. 39 held on 15 December 1947, in which the council decided to arm the night guard and increase their number.  - Session No. 40 held on 18 December 1947, in which the council decided to transfer 25 pounds from the budget to the party sector.  - Session No. 42 held on 27 December 1947, in which the council decided to pay 50 pounds to Ramallah Boys' School and amend the Road Improvement Tax.  - Session No. 43 held on 31 December 1947, in which the council decided to appoint the listed people to the posts of local guards.  - Session No. 44 held on 3 January 1948, in which the council decided to pay for a block of land. - Session No. 45 held on 15 January 1948, in which the council decided to fine all who butcher outside the slaughterhouse and to reduce the tax on improving the lanes and yards of the municipality.  - Session No. 46 held on 5 February 1948, in which the council decided to pay Musa Khalil the price of a block of land to build a school for girls.  - Session No. 47 held on 12 February 1948, in which the council decided to exempt 5% of Qandah’s tax, where he paid 25 pounds for advertising.  - Session No. 48 held on 26 February 1948, in which the council decided to answer the auditor's enquiry.  - Session N. 49 held on 11 March 1948, in which the council decided to appoint a local guard officer and transfer money for instalment and interest loans.  - Session No. 50 held on 15 March 1948, in which the council decided to submit the names of 20 municipal guards to police stations.
