A Letter from Mohammad Amin to the High Commissioner in Jerusalem, 22 June 1936
Found in the Sameeh Hammoudeh Collection and handwritten in Arabic, this document shows the non-original copy of a letter sent by Mohammad Amin, head of the Islamic Supreme Council, to the High Commissioner in Jerusalem on 22 June 1936 AD, corresponding to 3 Rabiʻ II 1355 AH, in which Mohammad Amin requested that the Mandate administration take all means to protect and preserve Muslim property after the British Mandate authorities opened fire on al-Jazzar Mosque in Akka.
