Biography of the Traditional Poet Hamdallah Barghouthi
Handwritten by Njaeeb Sabri Yaaqba, this archival item documents the biography of the traditional poet Hamdallah Barghouthi "Abu Hussein", born at Kafr Ein village in Ramallah. The document includes traditional poetry verses he used to perform at social and national events. It is worth mentioning that Yaaqba wrote down traditional poetry and the path and experiences of Zajjals from different Palestinian villages, refugee camps and cities to collect the legacy of the land's Zajal and Hida and to inform people of the notables of Palestinian traditional poetry.
