Land Sale Deed by Mahmoud al-Hamad and His Nephew to Amneh al-Ali, 12 March 1909

Issued on 20 Safar 1327 AH, corresponding to 12 March 1909 AD, this document shows a sale deed for land located within the village of Burqa, owned by Mahmoud Khalil al-Hamad and his nephew to Amneh Salman al-Ali, as al-Ali bought the two-thirds of a Qirat land of al-Muftalah, which is 24 Qirat and is the inheritance of Masoud ad-Dahmous and al-Abed abu Bakr, for 1500 piasters of Nablus people's currency back then. The land is bordered by Wad as-Seil from the south, Islayem's block of land from the west, Mohammad Hajj Qasem's land from the north and Erak al-Farz's land from the east. The sale deed was in accordance with the rulings of the Hanafi school and the consent of both parties, as well as testified by 5 witnesses from the village of Burqa, Saleh al-Khalil Qazaar, Mahmoud al-Amin, Mahmoud Ismail al-Mahmoud, Masoud ad-Dahmous and Ahmad abu Hussein.
