The Marriage Certificate of Azizeh Khalil and Salim Sheikh Mohammad in Burqa Village, 2 October 1943
Issued on 26 Shawwal 1362 AH, corresponding to 26 October 1943 AD, this document shows the marriage certificate of 30-year-old Azizeh Ahmad Khalil and 18-year-old Salim Jamil Sheikh Mohammad from Burqa. The marriage was held at the house of the husband for the prompt dowry of 50 Palestinian pounds and 20 Palestinian pounds of deferred dowry, where the prompt was paid in cash to the guardian of the wife, her cousin Hasan Shkeih Mohammad Qasem, and the contract was witnessed by Abderrahim Ali Abderrahim and Ahmad al-Hajj Hamdan Ahmad from Burqa, while Abderrahman az-Zawati was the marriage register.
