The Diaries of Fandi Mhanna, Buqei'a- Upper Galilee, the 1960s

This 12-page document shows the diaries of Fandi Mhanna from Buqei'a- Upper Galilee inside an agenda between 1961, where he wrote about social, political and daily life. In this agenda, Mhanna spoke about his relationship with his family and preparing a capsule wardrobe for his daughter who will get married known as the "trousseau". He pointed out the time he spent in Buqei'a by contributing to resolving tribal disputes with the diginatries of Buqei'a in the area. He also participates in social celebrations and mutual visits during the holidays of the numerous sects. In addition to his visit to the Tombs of the Prophet al-Yafouri and Prophet Sablan, where people gather together to practise religious rituals. He also mentioned his direct involvement with the land, as he constantly weeded it out, planted it and took care of it, in addition to writing down some financial accounts including his debt, grocery store accounts, the olive harvest product and his accounts with his partners at the olive press. He pointed out his role in the department of supplies, where he received aid and distributed it to the beneficiaries.
