The Diaries of Fandi Mhanna, Buqei'a- Upper Galilee, the First Half of the 1970s
This 105-page document shows the diaries of Fandi Mhanna from Buqei'a- Upper Galilee for 1971-1975, where he focused on narrating his daily and social life, in addition to describing the weather and a Hijri calendar. In this agenda, Mhanna addressed his relationship with his family, pointing out how he spent his days in Buqei'a including participating in solving tribal disputes in the area with the Sheikhs from neighbouring villages, pointing out that occasional meetings are conducted to discuss different issues. He also mentioned participating in many social events and visiting the Tomb of Prophet Shu'ayb, where people gather to practise religious rituals. In his diaries, Mhanna also mentioned his direct involvement with the land, as he always weeded, planted and took care of it. In addition to mentioning the olive picking season and pressing it via the oil presser. He also recorded some of his financial accounts including his debt, taxes, grocery store accounts, olive crop production and payment of taxes in the Land Registration Department.
