The Diaries of Fandi Mhanna, Buqei'a- Upper Galilee, the First Half of the 1970s

This 108-page document shows the diaries of Fandi Mhanna from Buqei'a- Upper Galilee inside an agenda for the years 1971,1974 and 1975, where he wrote about his social and political life during that time, in addition to describing the weather and the Hijri calendar.  In this agenda, Mhanna spoke about his relationship with his family, spending his time in Buqei'a, and solving tribal disputes in the area with Sheikhs from neighbouring villages, pointing out that occasional meetings are conducted to discuss different issues.  Further, Mhanna mentioned engaging in many social celebrations and exchanging visits with numerous sects during the holidays. In addition to his visit to the Tombs of Prophet Shu'ayb, the Prophet Al-Yafouri and Prophet Sabalan, where people gather to practise religious rituals. He also pointed out the accomplishments of the local council including the pavement of roads and the extension of water pipes.  Additionally, Mhanna also mentioned his involvement with the land, as he constantly weeded, planted and took care of it. He also mentioned the olive picking season and pressing them via an olive oil presser. As well as recording some financial accounts including his debts, olive crop production, and payment of taxes in the Land Registration Department.
