Several Syrian Citizens Sentenced to Prison, Damascus, 18 April 1922
Taken by Widad Shuqeir in Egypt, this photograph shows several Syrian citizens who were sentenced by the French Customary Court in Damascus to prison on 18 April 1922, and they are Sarafandi Sheikh al-Ard, Dr Khaled al-Khatib, Saeed Bey Haider, Dr Abderrahman Shahbandar, Hasan Bey al-Hakim, Abdel-Wahhab Effendi Afifi, and Tawfiq Effendi al-Halabi.
