this photograph shows the Catalogue of the '100 Shaheed - 100 Lives' Exhibition, in English and Japanese. The exhibition was held at the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah on February 20, 2001. The photograph was taken by Isabel de la Cruz. The idea of the exhibition emerged weeks after the outbreak of the Second Intifada (Al-Aqsa Intifada) as a tribute to all those murdered in the struggle. However, as the number of shaheeds was exponentially increasing, the exhibition was limited to honoring the first 100 shaheeds representing all areas of Historic Palestine.
